Samir Nayyar, M.D.
“It’s never easy to admit we are fragile at times, but we are also extraordinarily resilient, and with the right treatment options and support, our injuries need not plague us.”
Dr. Nayyar is a board-certified and fellowship-trained orthopaedic surgeon who specializes in joint reconstruction and replacement. Dr. Nayyar was born in New York and moved to Apple Valley, California soon after. He attended Granite Hills High School in Apple Valley prior to University of Buffalo for his studies where he received the SUNY Chancellor’s Award and the Excellence in Pediatric Orthopedic Surgery Award. During his time at the University of Buffalo and NYU Langone Medical Center/Hospital for Joint Disease, he gained experience in joint reconstruction and replacement training under the world’s most prestigious orthopedic surgeons. Dr. Nayyar utilizes innovative techniques that lessen postoperative pain and blood loss. He takes pride in his ability to help his patients regain function and mobility and is excited to bring the most innovative surgical techniques back home to the High Desert where he grew up.
“I am able to treat patients from children to adults and seniors. My patients vary from athletes in different sports to people who want to play with their grandchildren. My surgical cases vary from small nerve cases to big joint replacements. The ability to make an immediate, positive, and lasting impact on the quality of lives for people is very gratifying. I love being able to help get people back to their active lifestyle, pain-free.”
